RCS Construction, Inc. has served North Carolina and Southside Virginia in the heart of Lake Gaston/Kerr Lake exclusively for over seven years, and continues to do so today by striving to exceed customer’s expectations. RCS Construction is co-owned by Virginia residents Michael and Dora Smith. Being local, we realize the importance of keeping our neighborhood suppliers.  Our goal is to continue to support them, and by doing so, continue to invest in the future of our community. We are blessed and thankful to be able to provide jobs for our employees and various local subcontractors. While our favorite charity is the Duke Children’s Hospital in NC, we demonstrate our thanks locally through our support of local fundraisers which include the Ebony and Lake Gaston Fire Departments, Lake Country Home Builders Association, the Relay for Life for Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties, and the Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce events.

Mike is a third-generation builder and carries on the tradition of the trade previously loved and shared by both his father and grandfather. Also a veteran of the U.S. Army, he proudly served our Country for six years. During his tenure in the military, he achieved recognition as a U.S. Ranger while completing his engineering degree from the University of Texas.

Dora has a bachelor's degree in engineering, with concentration in business management. In addition to various management support roles, she has hands-on experience as both a Human Resources Manager and an Industrial Engineer. Today she supports field work and manages the company office by handling calls, assisting customers, and performing general office tasks. Dora enjoys interacting with customers and other pertinent personnel. Quality downtime is spent with family, friends and Cheyenne (yellow Lab), the family pet.
